Katrina's Cookbook


Pound Cake

1/2 lb or 2 sticks margarine
3 cups white lily plain flour (sifted)
1/2 pint whipping cream
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
2 tblsp vanilla

-Cream butter & sugar
-Add eggs alternately with flour & cream
-Add vanilla

-Bake at 325* for 1 hour

Chocolate Pound Cake

3 cups sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
6 eggs
2 sticks butter or margarine
1 1/4 cups milk
3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder

-Cream butter & Crisco gradually
-Add sugar
-Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition
-Beat in flour in 4 additions & milk in 3 additions, beginning & ending with flour
